Guys, this is too good to be true.
But it’s true.
Our prayers have been answered. Our saviour has arrived. MRT woes are to be no more.
Tan Kin Lian has SAVED US ALL.
HE BUILD A NEW SIGNAL SYSTEM FOR MRT LEH. DON’T PLAY PLAY. IN HIS FREE TIME SOME MORE. THIS MAN IS A GEEEENIUSSSSS!
Omg Encik Tan, thanks so much for taking the time to do this but, umm, I DON’T THINK THE PROBLEM IS IN THE COMPUTER SIMULATION…
He thinks that SMRT engineers can’t make a farking simple simulation of how trains should work? Of course they can! A well trained monkey also can!
The issue is not the simulation or how to calculate how many trains should go at what speed and keep what distance.
IT IS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
If Encik Tan can take one minute to read any of the news about this issue, it becomes obvious that the problem is when the software hits the road – or the rails, lolz – because the trains do not always correctly interpret the code.
So, your nice theoretical simulation can go fark itself coz it’s not about the theory hor, it’s about the implementation reality. Swee swee simulation also no use if the trains cannot read the code.
Wah lau eh I really laughed my ass off when I saw this post.
But then maybe he is really champion lah. So I clicked on it.
AND LAUGHED EVEN HARDER AT THE ERROR MESSAGE I RECEIVED:
LOLOL TKL, plz fix your own website before you try to fix our national train system!
UPDATE: Tan Kin Lian reached out to us to explain more about his signalling system. Read it here.
