MHA announced via a press statement today that President Halimah will be moving out of her Yishun home on 2 October.
The full statement is reproduced below:
MHA has conducted a careful assessment of the security arrangements for the President. It has informed the President that the security agencies face several challenges in ensuring her security and protection, if she continues to stay in her current home. MHA has therefore strongly advised the President to consider moving to another place. This will enable the agencies to ensure her safety and security with greater assurance.
President has accepted MHA’s security recommendation. She will make arrangements to move to a new place soon.
In short, the mata all find it difficult to keep Madam President safe lah.
Everyone knew where President Halimah stayed – photos of her house and her area, sprouted up everywhere.
Singaporeans even went to great lengths to create a Google pin called Yistana.
Doesn’t help that our media outlets also went all out to report about President Halimah (and where she stayed).
Like that even I also don’t feel safe la.
Given this, President Halimah has agreed to move.
And of course, no one stated where President Halimah will be moving to.
Guess the Yishun residents can no longer rely on the increased security to keep the cat killers and murders at bay.
But obviously that didn’t stop sexy times from happening in Yishun.
