LRT: Where was Khaw this time?

After describing the Bukit Panjang LRT as an ‘afterthought’, Minister of Transport Khaw Boon Wan (he must have been really dizzy after riding it), probably realized he has scored an own goal.

Because Workers’ Party MP Pritam Singh quick hand quick leg filed a Parliament question to ask whether the Bukit Panjang LRT was an “afterthought” built under “political pressure”.

Siao liao.

If you are expecting more golden words from Khaw, be disappointed.

The Parliament Question was answered by the Second Minister for Transport Ng Chee Meng.

Minister Khaw was nowhere to be seen in Parliament hor.

Wah, Ng Chee Meng must be thinking ‘Thanks ah bro, arrow me after you shoot own goal.”

Ng Chee Meng helped Khaw to explain to the Parliament that the primary issue with the Bukit Panjang LRT is that the design was adapted from an airport system to a housing estate.

That still means it is a design problem leh.

In any case, the conclusion by Ng Chee Meng is that these problems will be addressed when Gahmen conducts a tender at the end of this year.

Ok, we hope the best for those who stayed in Bukit Panjang. #secondchance

In Khaw we trust.
